Carrier remind me - can I use a different shipping address than my billing address with AT&T

I'm pretty sure they have to match, if I'm remembering right. I seem to recall people having issues with this exact thing every launch.
No you have to ship to billing address on AT&T account I think. I usually change my address to my jobs around this time and then switch back after I get my phone.
In the past I've successfully gotten AT&T to ship to a different address by calling after I've placed the order. I think that ordering from AT&T as opposed to direct from Apple gives you a better chance of getting it switched. I'm going to attempt it again this year, as I live in a different state than the primary account holder.
Yea I called and explained to them that the billing address was my office in NY and I needed the phone sent to a different address.
I use the apple app and Apple Pay to purchase my phones and I haven't had any issues. Even before Apple Pay the credit card associated with my Apple ID was used without any issues.
So, just to clarify. You're credit cards billing address is still your home address, but your billing address on ATT & the Apple store are your work address?
My billing address on AT&T is my work address. My credit card billing address and address on the Apple Store is my home address. Apple pulls my shipping address from my AT&T account but I guess uses my billing from my apple account? Not sure but I have never had a billing issue using the apple app or apple site to preorder from apple. I've been doing it since the 4 and I upgrade every year.
