I made a bunch of changes yesterday or the day before to my lists which for some reason have not yet synced to the Reminder app on Apple Watch but have synced to my IPad. Does anyone know how often this app syncs?

For me, Reminders does not sync across my devices unless I back out to my list of Reminders. E.G., if I add something to my Shopping List, I have to go back to the root list of Reminders or it won’t sync across devices.

How do I do this?

Just tried that. It does not work.

Have you tried force quitting the Reminders app and reopening it? Do you have any other apple devices that you are syncing Reminders with (iCloud)? Do they work? Is Reminders enables in iCloud settings?

Force quit on both watch and phone and it does not work. Reminders is enabled in iCloud settings and I have a iPad and Mac also connected and Reminders syncs with all except the watch.

Just rebooted watch and iPhone to no fix.

Woks fine for me. If I go shopping on my own I don't take my phone and check off the shopping on a shared reminders list on a cellular series 4. Anything my wife has forgotten she adds to the list on her phone and I pretty much see it straight away, in fact she says she can see where I am in the shop by which items have been checked off.

When I get syncing problems, the first thing I do is to log out of iCloud and back in again on all devices. Also check that you've removed any devices you no longer have from your iCloud account, I have found these to occasionally be "blocking" syncing.

No, it’s a bit of a law unto it’s self.

Sometimes I find using a force-press to ‘show completed’ and then turning that back off again prompts it to go get the latest info.

But not always...

Thanks. For some reason it started working again.

You DO realize that there are tiny little deamons that live in all electronic things, and occasionally, for their entertainment, they will pull stunts such as this. If one leans down really close to the electronic device, and if one is lucky, one can hear the little deamons laughing.

Satan and his devils are everywhere but I am not possessed nor do I associate with one of his religions, cults, nor apostate churches. So I doubt he would do something like this to me.

This happened to me and I couldn't get Reminders to sync to the watch until I unpaired and re-paired the watch. Now I wish I could share a shopping list with my wife on Reminders. I try and it just forces her app to crash. Used to work perfectly.

This kind of snafu causes my wife and I to complain that we wish Apple would stop trying to have great streaming TV channelt etc. and actually fix the stuff that doesn't work in their existing products.

Sometimes mine stops syncing, but it seems to work again if I add something to one of the lists on the watch (Hey Sir, add cereal to Grocery List). Doing that seems to reset the connection to the iCloud data.

A wee tip for anyone who has these issues, to save you re-pairing the watch etc, that I have used.

On the iPhone apple watch app, just go to the settings/general section and choose reset sync data, this doesn't just fix contacts and calendar but also forces a reminders refresh.

Joe.

I am battling the same problem on and off. Our shared shopping list reminders has a mind of its own. One day, I will see all my reminders, next day all reminders (including the shopping list) shows zero next to each list. Why cant Apple fix the existing crap is beyond me? Annoyance like this make me not want to wear my watch because i cant relay on it.

The same voodoo is happening with my calendars. Some entries will refresh almost instantly, some never.

While I use my watch for health activities, those are not my primary uses. My primary uses are actually calendars, reminders, text messsage notifications, teams notifications, and VIP email notifications. For most of my primary needs Apple Watch fails me way too many times and too often, or just simply does not work. Add the fact that text messages do not sync with other devices, the deletion process of text messages is super clunky and honestly I do not have much good to say about Apple Watch. My watch is series 2, but I have seen the same problem with s3 and s4, so I know I am not the only one. Most likely this will be my last Apple Watch and the moment Apple stops supporting it with the latest Watch OS (still hoping these issues will get resolved in later versions) I will dump it and never look back.
