Agree! They don't have enough...but I binge almost everything on Apple. Maybe its an age thing...but Bad Sisters, Shrinking, Silo, Severance, For all Mankind and let's not forget about Slow Horses. I honestly think the quality is better than most everywhere else...the quantity is low.

The quality/quantity ratio is the highest of any of the streamers for sure

Could be a bad thing revealing just how shallow their catalog is. I looked through it and it’s not worth the $. Has no one at apple looked at Netflix??

Netflix has way more content to be sure, but I’m not certain they have as much new quality original content

Very awesome “gift” — and, no matter who you are, if you can’t find something you enjoy (on one of the best streaming services out there), it’s on you and perhaps you just don’t like entertainment. There truly is something for everyone.

Good stuff

AMONG OTHER THINGS

Going to rewatch Trying again, that show is still the best comedy that thankfully for now has maintained it's quality and not went the Lasso Way, yet.

Ted Lasso S1 is still the GOAT.

Dramatic much? Unreal.
I am older than I would like to be, hehe.
Child brain initially formed by audio content. The like for the unreal and drama, you are right.
Edit: my emphasis is on dialogues by design..

Father Ted is demonstrating some plastic toy cows to Dougal.

Father Ted:
...OK, one last time. These are small... but the ones out there are far away. Small... far away... ah forget it!

With some great TV shows and no credit card required for the free trial, it is a great time to see at least a few episodes of the shows or even see some films that are on TV+

So you don’t like Apple TV because you only like father Ted, and Apple TV doesn’t have father Ted

Got it!

For me, Apple TV has definitely has filled the spot HBO/Max has left open after their run of great shows like True Detective (S1 in particular), the Leftovers, early GoT, etc.

Severance, Foundation, Silo are great watches and I haven't started Slow Horses. This account was not approved. Please use the Contact Us page to get assistance from the forum staff. Should be right up my alley, I love the Agency series that's running right now.

$20+ billion invested...

"Apple is spending billions of dollars a year on original programming that has received strong reviews and many awards nominations. But its streaming service is attracting just 0.2% of TV viewing in the US. Apple TV+ generates less viewing in one month than Netflix does in one day."

At what point can it still be called an investment?

Really wish Apple would just buy the husk of HBO if they're serious about this. God knows Zaslav doesn't know what to do with any of it.

Not available on Spain, Mexico and South Korea apparently. Checked from Spain myself and nope.

Are there also series like Animal kingdom, Ozark, sons of anarchy etc on Apple TV?
No. They prefer feelgood series set in ideal Apple Barbieland, with enthusiast and good-looking characters (with the right amount of diversity) all fond of Apple products. To compare with Netflix, Gentefied could be an Apple series but not Top Boy. Case in point: Ted Lasso, Shrinking, For All Mankind, Disclaimer, Home Before Dark, Little America... Exceptions: Slow Horses, Silo, Pachinko.

Great opportunity to discover For all mankind, I’m having a blast watching season 1 and plan to subscribe for the coming month to keep enjoying the show. Well done Apple you got me.

Give severance a chance. first episode or two are slow but it really picks up.
maybe I will give it a try ...

Had multiple free 3 month trials and it is now included in my TMobile plan since I switched 9 months or so ago.
Morning show season 1 was ok, went downhill from there, tried Silo and gave up after 2 1/2 episodes.

Glad that some (many) enjoy it, but not all do (and don't have to).

My God, why can't Apple get their damn password setup sanitized properly if they really want people using an Apple ID for every service?

I'm trying to set this up now and apparently there is an issue with the Apple TV service accepting my Apple ID credentials. I sign in and it loops back around to the sign in page again. My password is correct. If I try using the QR code I can sign in on my mobile, get the 2FA code, etc, and I get to the point where the site says I my device is logged in -- then the app refreshes and now it shows my username and still says I need to confirm my info, when I just did logging in on my phone.

I tried switching to iPhone a few years ago and had a similar issue. Apple ID credentials rejected to set up the new device but can log in fine everywhere else. The issue was my Apple ID password ended in two asterisks, because I reset my password and changed the asterisks to "00" and then it worked fine to set up the iPhone. I'm pretty sure the issue now is that my current Apple ID password begins with a special character. I'm not changing my password -- because that wipes any special app-specific passwords I have set up and I'll have to redo all my other devices to restore connectivity.

Update: I was able to get by devices authorized (without password change), so apparently it was an issue on Apple's end. Even if I don't watch Apple TV+ I can now access digital movie copies I redeemed on it years ago. My LoTR:EE films all got upgraded from when I originally bought them it looks like.
