Reminders App - Spinning Beachball on Load - M1 MacBook Air, Running 13.1

Reminders app on my M1 Macbook air takes a long time to load - spinning beach ball and gets stuck on just the app loading apparently in the background without content for a while.

Very strange - no matter if I have nothing or a lot of things open.

Any ideas how to fix? Preferences I should delete? No other beachballs generally with my mac.

I have a similar problem with Reminders. It works fine on my other devices, but on the new Mac mini, the Reminders window only has the Search field and "+ Add List" displayed. If I click the "+", nothing happens. I have the reminders stored in iCloud. I've tried all the procedures in Apple Support, and run Onyx to no effect.

Did you get Reminders running?

I just tried to fix the problem by re-installing the Mac OS, but the Reminders app is still locked up.
