Hi, I just downloaded iOS 5 and have a question. I use the calendar a lot and have it remind me of the events I attend. Now iOS 5 comes with a new feature called Reminders. I guess the concept of Reminders is to remind you of the upcoming events. Can someone please tell me the difference between the Calendar alerts and Reminders? If I had an appointment on Wednesday but I wanted my phone to remind me on Tuesday so which app (Calendar's alerts or Reminders) is the best to use for alerting? Thanks in advance! :)

Reminders can be checked off as you complete them. If you have it set to remind ou to buy eggs at 3pm but you don't get to it then it will stay on the list until you check it off.

You can also use location based reminders so when you leave work it can remind you to stop for milk on the way home.

They have some overlapping functionality but the reminders app definitely has it's place.

    I agree with Rafael.

Reminders is like a to-do list. And the task to be completed need not be accomplished by a certain date or time. Calendar events are always limited by date.
