Does the Apple Watch have to be connected to the iPhone via Bluetooth for the Remote App to work? I figured since the Remote App works on WiFi and the Watch is on the same WiFi network, it should work but it doesn’t. I get this on the Watch:

Remote App on Apple Watch

I tested and appears to work through Bluetooth thru iPhone. When I put iPhone in airplane mode and turn off Bluetooth the remote app on Apple Watch does not work.
Ok, thank you very much for your time. Just wanted to make sure it wasn’t just me. It’s probably a companion only app for the Watch and can’t work stand alone.
