Remote App on iOS Not Connecting to ATV3

Here's the equipment I'm using.
-iPhone 5s
-ATV 3
-2TB Time Capsule

About 50% of the time when I go to wake my ATV up using the "Remote" app on my iPhone, the ATV is not showing up as available. I end up having to use the physical remote to restart the ATV, sometimes multiple times, for it to show up on my iPhone.

Am I missing a setting somewhere? Could I have gotten a bad unit? I have tried factory restoring the ATV and it has not changed a thing. I never had this issue with my ATV2.

Also, I'm not sure if it is related or not, but I have an iCloud album set as the screen saver, and sometimes the screen saver reverts back to the animal photo screensaver. I then have to go set it back to my iCloud album.

Any help or insight is great appreciated!

Am I the only one who has experienced this problem? I don't mean that sarcastically or insincerely. I'm genuinely curious.

Not the same issue, but similar problem. My Remote App conects withot issues but if ios device is locked it disconects and cannot connect untill i manualy close Remote App, dubble tap home button, swipe up then open Remote App again and it connects without issues.

Problem persist for more than a year, trough iOS 7 and 8, and OSX 10.9 and 10.10., and on iP5 iP5s, Apple TV3 latest OS.

Sory OP, no help from me, only more issues...

ah, bummer, man! well, hopefully someone who has experienced these problems and was able to solve them will come along sometime.
