All iPads Remote control for YouTube TV app (please move mods if not right forum)

Is it possible to have a remote for YouTube TV app on a iPad ? Kinda like a remote used for a tv?

This is for a stroke survivor. It would be easier for them than having to click and reach the tablet.

You could Airplay YouTube playing on your iPad to an Airplay-supported TV or Apple TV connected to your TV, both already having a remote. But still need to control YouTube manually on the iPad. Or access YouTube on your TV if it's a Smart TV.
