I downloaded the beta of TVOS 14 and as soon as I did, my remote control has been acting up. On some applications more than others - when I use the touch screen at the top of the remote, the location of the (invisible) cursor jumps around and it is difficult to get it to settle enough so that I can enter commands into the apps. Anyone else having this problem...anyone have a suggestion for mitigating the issue?

Remote control is squirrelly after installing TVOS 14

It's not your remote. They must have done a lot of rework in the code for the remote in TVOS14. TVOS14 made my ATV -4K almost unusable (and being an ATV-4K, I can't go back to TVOS13). Some Apps respond differently and some don't work at all. Sling does not respond to touch pad swipes but does respond to taps on the edges of the touchpad. BritBox is broken in TVOS14. When you tap the center of the touchpad to play something on BritBox, it throws you out of the App and back to the TVOS home screen. TVOS14 was not ready for a public beta. I am surprised by how much doesn't work and am confused by why Apple released it. I assume they have a test team, but a test team would have caught a lot of these obvious problems.
There’s an incremental update to TvOS 14...I think it fixed the remote problem...dunno what else it addressed...
I found a workaround for the Britbox issue. It's a little clunky but it works. Start playback on the website and pause. Then open their app (not via the Apple TV app) on the Apple TV (boy, these names!) and select the programme. Then select resume. It should play normally.
