Hi All,
Ok, I'm stumped! I'm a photoshop professional living in LA and I need to be able to interact with my photographers in NY. I figured Remote Desktop would be an easy solution. SO.. I've got my Mac with Remote Desktop pre-installed and I'm using a Westell 6100 DSL modem with my Verizon account. I can easily VNC into a machine on my LAN, but can't seem to get anyone on the outside to do the same. Here's what I did:
Setup my Westell to allow VNC on my Mac using 55,58&5900 using TCP
Setup my Services and Firewall to allow Apple Remote Desktop users in
No go! Outside users get the wheel of death followed by a denial. My Netstat says that 5900 is listening. My test clients are using Chicken of the VNC to login...
Can anyone give me an idea as to what I might be doing wrong?
thanks
