Remote Disc, Waiting for Disc Drive...

hi,

i'm unable to get remote disc working.

I'm using a retina mbp and 2012 mbp for the optical drive.
I have sharing of cd enabled in the settings for the MBP.

When i go to finder and click remote disc i see the other computer, when i double click it i press ask to use, accept it on the other computer but on the retina mbp it just keeps saying waiting for disc drive.

Does anyone know how to solve this?

edit: I want to burn music from iTunes so have inserted a blank disc
