So there is probably a simple solution to my problem but i can't find anything.

I've picked up the MBA and set up remote disk on my pc. I've enabled disk sharing on the control panel, and the computer shows up under the remote drive on the MBA. However, when i pop a disk into the PC, it does not show up on the MBA. Everything works on my powerbook, but the powerbook is dying and I would like to make sure i can still have access to a dvd drive.

Also, is it possible to access virtual drives through remote disk?

thanks.

Does your PC have a firewall setup? It could be preventing part of the transaction.

Make sure your PC is running minimum supported version:

Good luck.
