up converted 1080p content looks better than straight 1080p.
Yes, sure it does.
Just like how HD content looks better when you use a $100 gold-plated HDMI cable compared to a cheap one

Maybe this time, I won't lose the remote. Every one I know always lost their remotes. It's so thin, it slips through every crack easily and you'll never find it again.
Thank god for the Remote app on the iOS devices.
Not typing passwords.
believe it or not, 4K content is still rather sparse. So why the push for that now
Game controller as a game controller, please
And I mean any old Bluetooth game controller like the Xbox 360 one, not the ripoff "MFi" ones.
Why not just convert the circle to a click wheel? It'd be perfect.
I love the click wheel. You can scroll indefinitely, and as fast as you want; something you can't do on "touch pads."
It's pretty ridiculous that in order to search for something on Apple TV, the remote can only shuttle the cursor around one letter at a time using direction keys.
Extremely hokey when you're sitting there with an iPhone or worse, iPad, and Apple has every ability to make a decent, full featured Remote app to interface with the Apple TV, but won't do it.
Apparently that would be too useful, or ?
Yes, sure it does.

Ideally, I want to be able to control my Apple TV from my MacBook, via something similar to screen sharing. My computer is on my lap almost all the time I'm watching TV. I would love to be able to select a program without reaching for another device.
Yes, sure it does.

A good pixel prediction system will actually make the video look better than the original.
I would much rather prefer an Apple TV that was not reliant on iTunes on my Mac Mini to serve videos and music and that had upgradeable internal storage.
Chicken-and-egg problem. If it's easy to make the hardware available on a large scale (like iPhone 6 supporting NFC in a way people want to use), it's easy for content providers to supply 4K content.
I second that except I would like the option to connect a USB HDD to AppleTV and let it store everything there or even a NAS. I want the NAS to run iTunes server instead of a Mac/PC.
Future proof.
Why not 8k while they're at it? Gotta think ahead!
I think you just have to click-and-hold. Works fine.Currently, navigating through content on a channel like Netflix with the Apple TV remote requires users to click multiple times on the click wheel.
I have enough devices to stream from, so hopefully the next Apple TV offers something compelling enough for me to get one.
The remote did see one redesign from white plastic to the current aluminum one.
No deal unless the remote has 2 Gb of RAM #
