Remote/Frontrow and standby

Hi.
Is it possible to wake the mac mini from standby and put it back into standby using the remote? I want to use one as a stereo but don't want to have to use the mouse to put it to sleep when I've finished with it every time.

Looks like you just hold down the Play button.

and if you wanted waayy more control with the apple remote twisted melon puts out a program that lets you customize the remote.
