ok dvd rom in my imac keeps ejecting the cd right when i put it in and i have been having problems with os x lepord wanted to reinstall but computer won't take the dvd. so i was thinking of using remote install for macbook air thats on my imac and it says to put the osx dvd in your pc to use the cd rom from your pc but i have a osx dvd before that feature came out. so i have been searching and searching for a download of that for the pc and can't find it. also anyone know what kind of dvd rom is in the mac so i can put a new one in? thanks

Go under the Apple Menu and select "About this Mac". Click on "more info" which will open the System Profiler.

Look under Hardware, Disk Burning. This will tell you what DVD drive you have.
