I just picked up an 11 inch air. I want to be able to remotely stream my itunes library to my macbook air using the tethering from my iPhone. Any suggestions?

I tried to do a search I must not be putting in the right words.... I'm sure this has come up before.
    thanks

Where is your iTunes library located? Home Sharing will work if both computers are in the same network

I'll be tethering from my iPhone 4 so the same network won't be available when I'm away from my home network.

Perhaps your problem will be solved during tomorrow's media event?!
I'd like to see a good solution, too!

Yep, you'll want to go through the guide to get a remote connection going. Then you're going to want to copy everything from your iTunes folder except for "iTunes Music" from your home machine to the corresponding location on your MBA. Then, when you open iTunes, it'll complain that it can't find your content, so use iTunes to point it at the content on your server, and you're good to go.

The only thing you'll need to do is before you want to stream music, you'll have to reconnect to your server first, but then you'll be golden.

    +1 for Hamachi from LogMeIn

I've been using it on my MBA with my MBP (that has my iTunes library on it) and it's been working great!

The only thing I haven't been able to stream (or I'm just not giving it enough time to load content) is movies or TV shows. Music plays without any problems though.

Which version of LogMeIn do you use? The free version is not able to stream any data, is it?
Comparison chart says yes to remote access, but no to file transfer or sharing.

I'm using the non-commercial version but do use the paid version for work on a Windows machine as well.

The non-commercial free version does allow me to file share and see my iTunes library as if i was home on the home sharing.
