Remote not working?

Just got my 2.33 C2D MBP and i'm pretty impressed so far. One thing that's bothering me is that the remote isn't working. Do I have to set something up? I already checked and made sure the IR wasn't disabled.

Perhaps you received a dead battery. Check to see if your Macbook Pro isn't already paired up with a different remote in System Preferences.

I just checked. Doesn't appear to be paired with a remote as the option wasn't highlighted.

Go to System Prefs - Security and click "Unpair" remote.

Then hold down the Menu and Play buttons on the remote for 5 secs or so.

Should repair them again.

I already tried that. Didn't do anything. I guess i'll give apple a call later today and see what they will do for me.
