Remotely help a PC user from a Mac

Hey

All the time I have PC users needing my help, what is the easiest way to share their screen with me on my Mac. Do they need to set anything up in the control panel for this to work? I have heard about CoRD, and Chicken of the VNC, but not much else, and haven't found a way for it to work.

Try TeamViewer. Its the easiest screen sharing app I have seen.

If the user has XP Pro, or any flavor of Vista, then you should be abel to use Microsoft's Remote Desktop Connection:

Then the other user does not have to install anything... just enable incoming connections.

If you have Parallel's Desktop or VMWare's Fusion, install Windows Live Messenger and do "Remote Assistance".

I don't think remote desktop works on Vista home basic or Home Premium

I have used www.logmein.com between a Mac and a PC successfully.

I'd say logmein,

if you want to use remote desktop or some sort of VNC then you may have to do some router configuration changes on their side.

Hence why logmein is so useful.
