I have a friend that lost sensitive with his ATV4 remote. I just figured he dropped it once too many times or something. But now mine is doing the same thing.

I need to apply just enough force to not press in the touch surface to scroll around. It's unusable without concerted effort.

Anything I can try before taking it to the Apple Store? Do I need to bring the entire ATV or will just the remote be fine?

I tried the obvious of resetting the AppleTV and a physical power cycle.

Could be dust. Try using compressed air to clean it out. Or use the remote app on your iPhone.

Silly question, but what is the charge level on the remote? I found when the charge dropped too low it started to act funny.

I am but currently it's very limiting. Cant close apps (a requirement to refresh them), delete/move apps, no Siri, etc. iOS 10 takes care of some of that.

My first thought, I didn't check it before trying to charge but currently 97%.
[doublepost=1466858495][/doublepost]I'm going to just hit up the Apple Store later today.

I got to irritated with mine. I was looking up a movie one day and Siri couldn't tell the difference between the title and some swear word and it told me to watch my mouth. That was the end of the remote.

They replaced it. Now it's "new" which still leaves me with many complaints and questioning its fundamental design. But at least it "works" so I'm happy.

On the brightside I found an open box Samsung 65" KS9000 that I was able to haggle down a bit more. I have no 4K content or a receiver capable of pass through 4K but man this thing is a beaut!

That's a nice set. Get that sucker calibrated. Turn off all the fake processing.
