Where did it go? None of the webpages show what it looks like now. The screen has changed and I cannot find out where or how to remove a device (light) that has gone bad. Under settings, below the make and firmware, there is NO button. Dragging like iOS icons does not remove it either. Anyone know where this is at or HOW to get rid of devices off the app?

what brand?

you might have to use their app to remove from your system.

If you want any help you’re going to give quite a bit more information than that. As above, brand, model, app etc?

Let me state it clearly. The entire button to remove ANY accessory in the HOME kit app is missing. It does not matter what brand, or what accessory it is. There is simply NO button where everyone says there should be such a button. But, I was on with tech support for an hour. Seems they know about this bug and have no idea why it happens or how to fix it short of deleting everything, and possibly wiping the entire phone. It is not that big of a problem to see a device that no longer works, to wipe it all and MAYBE see if that helps.

So, unless anyone actually knows something, consider this topic closed. If your search brings you here, and there is no reply from me saying it was fixed and how, then it is still an issue they can't fix. Merry Christmas.

In my setup, i do have the remove option for speakers, cameras and appleTVs.
The devices that were added by other apps (like Hue), do not have a remove option in homekit, and need to be removed in the app from their manufacturer.

and i'll just state this clearly.
if you only come in with partial info, leaving out things you don't think are important, even when asked.. We can't help you. Sometimes there are things that "don't seem important" that are actually the cause of the problem or can help point in the direction of a solution.

Like the old joke, someone calls tech support "i was typing on the computer and all the words went away" so they go through through all the steps of troubleshooting, and 5 minutes later they got to "check to make sure it's plugged into the wall" and they answer "I'll try, but I can't see very well, it's dark in here." so the support rep suggested they turn on the light in the office. "oh.. i can't, the power's out"
