Yes, the exact name. There is no check to make sure that no app of that name already exists. For example, I just found 3 apps named "Metronome".

Yeah I also checked before I originally posted and found several with the name Units. My guess is that as long as the bundle ID is unique, the app name itself doesn't matter.
