Hey guys i was wondering if their was a way to remove the hardrive label when its on the desktop? I want to just have the hardrive with nothing on it so it looks a bit cleaner. I searched all over for the answer and couldnt find it anywhere.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Go to Finder and press CMD+, to open preferences.

    OR open it like this:

The go the General tab and uncheck the stuff you don't want to see; in your case, uncheck the first one:

I think he wants to keep the hard drive icon but get rid of the label. Don't know how to do that.

    Cheers,

Have your background set to a solid colour, set the label to the same colour and use a space instead of text on the label.

I haven't tried it but there shouldn't be much shadow on the label.

When I do that, I only get the empty bubble when I click on the HD icon. Otherwise, nothing is there and it's clear.

click on Hard Drive icon then click on file and goto label color and use the x. This will erase the color of the bubble then just put 1 space inside it. The bubble color is now transparent.
