remove items from system prefrences

How do i remove items from system prefrences

recently i tried to run a classic app (os 9) but i didnt have it installed so now under system prefrences i have an os 9 classic option but when i open it all it tells me is i do not have an os 9 folder installed on this mac....duh... how do i remove the icon

According to this, it's mainly in the preference files. I recommend following these steps (assuming you haven't already). 🙂

Just so you know, this doesn't delete the pane but merely hides it so that if you ever reload Classic, it'll reappear.
