    Hi guys, i need your help.

    i have mbp13" from late 2011, and an external HDD that HFS+(journal) on which i store movies and lots of other data stored.

    my question is ;

    if I remove the journaling on the external (OS Mavericks) , will that remove all my data on the external??

    i want to do this so that i can play my movies through Raspbmc (Raspberry Pi) ... anyone ?

    Just run this command in Terminal with the real external volume name and it will disable Journaling without deleting data. Backup first just to be safe though.

    Code:
    diskutil disableJournal /Volumes/VolumeName
