I have an external drive that I used on my old Mac, then on my new one. Therefore in Time Machine's Backups.backupdb directory there are two subdirectories... one for each computer.

I'm ready to remove the old computer's backup files permanently to free up space for the backups for my new computer. How should I proceed? I'd need to keep the current backups intact, of course.
