Remove On Behalf Of From Gmail

When you send an email from another email address in Gmail it always lists both email addresses with On Behalf Of. Is it possible to remove this.

There's several threads on this in the gmail help section. Short answer: No.

Very annoying, but apparently not possible to get rid of this. Google claims they are leaving this in to make it easier to track down spammers -- not sure if that's the real reason.

Only good thing is that it apparently doesn't show up on all email readers.

I know but why make it so obvious?
