Remove Passcoe?

I am helping someone out who has very bad eyesight.

They want to remove the passcode requirement on an iPhone XR. I see there’s an option under Settings > Face ID & Passcode but it’s grayed out.

I have tried turning Face ID on and off with no success.

Is this simply not supported on the XR? Would it be supported on one of the newer phones?

Try clicking the Reset FaceID and then turning that off. But if it still won't let you then there is probably more stuff you need to disable first. Stolen device protection, Apple Pay cards, iCloud passwords/keychain, maybe more?

Some email accounts will require it; ScreenTime restrictions will require it; MDM if the phone is provided by a business.
