I couldn't search this because I couldn't think of the appropriate terms to use.

When I save a file in an application, say TextEdit, it will show recently used locations.

How can I clear this history? I assume it's a cache file?

At the bottom of the recently used list is Clear Menu.

This is not Recent Items, this is a save dialog.
