Hi,
I was beta testing the iOS 12.0 and had the developer profile installed to get access to the beta. I'm now on the GM/official release of 12.0 and got a notification to test the 12.1 beta 1 which I do not want. I removed the iOS beta profile but the Settings badge still remains.

Is there a way to get rid of it?

thanks

Check your storage settings to see if the iOS 12.1 update might have already been downloaded and delete it from there if it has been.

It was indeed downloaded but removing the update does not remove the badge.

what are the settings that will be removed?
"Reset all settings" simply means that the settings on your phone will be reset to their original status. You will not lose any documents, files or installed apps during the process.

yes I tried but it doesnt helped.

I found the following solution:
- Add again the developer profile
- Download again the beta but don’t install it
- Notification goes away
- Remove the profile and the downloaded beta

Or delete the profile and reboot your phone. Not necessary normally; only for the badge issue.

How do you download but don't install the beta. The option for me says "Download and Install"

IIRC it promoted me again after downloading if I want to install it and I chose Cancel. I beleive you also need either AC power or more than 50% battery to install an update so if it’s not the case after downloading, it won’t install.

well this morning I’ve got a message that iOS 12.1 was installed over night ... even if the beta profile is not installed... Was iOS 12.1 officially released?
