remove the battery?

    i Have my macbook plugged into the power supply all day and i don't use the battery. should i remove the battery or not? im just worried it might make the battery go bad.

    The battery won't go bad. Don't worry. Plus if you remove the battery and bump the cord at ALL, the computer will shut off.

    Remove the battery and your processor downclocks to 1.3GHz.

    Also, bump the cord and you're unplugged; bad news.

    dont worry your battery doesnt get 'overcharged'. there are electronics in your MacBook which condition the battery while fully charged (that is why it is sometimes 95-100% when fully charged). taking out the battery will underclock the CPU as well.

    just make sure you use the battery every few days and calibrate it every 1-2 months. also keep your MacBook cool as heat is also a battery degrader.

    If you do your monthly calibrations of your battery you should be alright.
