iPod touch remove time on top display

Is there a way to remove the time on top of the screen. Like say i use safari, on the top of it is the display of the time. i want to remove it. I've searched but have not found my answer

not exactly. i got the new ipod touch and it has the ipod wifi on the left side, time in the middle, and battery on the left. And they are all on top. I don't really have a reason why but i just want the time gone. Is it possible?

Only if you jailbreak your ipod.
