Remove video noise iMovie

Hi,

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to clean video / remove noise from footage imported into iMovie? I'm sure this used to be possible on the old iMovie app.

I'm running latest iMovie on 2016 rMBP.

Only for audio noise.

Detach the audio from the video. Then select audio and choose from one of options then available to reduce volume, reduce background noise. Might be of use.
