Removing a glass screen cover

Does anyone know if removing a tempered glass screen cover from your iPad ruins any coating on it? I installed an Anker Glass Screen Protector on my 2017 12.9 and after the install, I saw that there was a spot that seemed like a manufacturer's defect. They're going to send me another one, but I'm worried that if I remove the glass that it'll somehow strip any coatings on the iPad?

Am I being paranoid?

Nope, no issues with removing the screen protector.
