Greetings. I've been scratching my head over this and it's aggravating. I need to remove a "Top Hits" entry. As seen from the attached image, when I start typing my retirement account, there are two item that show up. I want to remove the first item as it directs to an invalid page.

Here is my stuff if it matters....

2013 MBP 15"
OSX 10.12.5 Sierra
Safari 10.1.1
All iCloud enabled across various iDevices.

Anyone have any thoughts?

I believe it should work just removing the entries from your history. If you click History in the menu bar, then "Show all history", and in the search box in the top right of the page, write the name of the page, and delete all entries (using either delete key if present on your keyboard, or I think it's FN+backspace if not). That should do the trick.

I've tried this numerous times with no luck. I'm beginning to wonder if the cloud has something to do with it. Maybe I have to delete it from every device else it keeps re-syncing.

Tested it on my own device - worked for me just deleting it on my iMac, with iCloud syncing enabled - weird :S

If it doesn't work on the MBP, it might not on the iMac either, but let me know if it's a success. I'm intrigued.

Does the same thing on the iMac. No dice deleting from "History" "Show All" and search. It's not even in the history on anything now. Still shows up. Could it be (looking at the image in the original post) that the second entry is correct and the first is correct except for the "/thetrust/...." and it simply will not delete on any device. Dang it! It's bugging the crap outta me.

You've never bookmarked the site have you? If so, delete the bookmark.

I found that I had the website that was showing up in my top hits in my reading list on my iPhone. It didn't show up initially on the tab because it had been viewed. I had to click the "show all" link on the bottom right hand side of the screen to show the website, then swipe left to delete.
