Hi,

I cannot seem to get rid of the ical icon on the applications folder on the dock. Every time I drag the folder from finder to the dock it appears.

I've tried losing the app folder from the dock, opening up the app and then dragging it back across to the dock again. No luck. It's still there.

I've repaired even permissions and logged out and back in again. But it's still there when I drag from finder.

It's just a minor irritation of course. But why can't I lose it? Why is it there at all?

Hope someone can help?

  1. Create a new folder called "Apps" (or any other name you choose).
  2. Create aliases of all the apps you frequently use and place those aliases in that folder.
  3. Drag the "Apps" folder to your Dock.
Now you see only the apps that you want to see.

Just right click on the Application folder in the dock and change the "Display As" from Stack to Folder.
