So how do I remove bluetooth devices from my bluetooth file transfer list? I have a few extra phones in there that I no longer use.
THx in advance.

nope there are more devices in the bluetooth file exchange list than the one in the system preference.

I have the same problem too! They show up under the "Browse Files". I don't have those devices anymore. How can I remove them? They are annoying me.

Removing Bluetooth file exchange listings

This is a reply to an old post, but may help others with the file exchange listings

Go to: Home > Library > Preferences and locate the com.apple.bluetooth.plist
and the com.apple.fileExchange.plist and send both to trash "don't delete yet"

Remove your items from isync by highlighting each item then toolbar > delete

Go to your device and remove/delete the list to the Mac.

Add the device that you would like to currently use ( bluetooth set-up )
and re sync the device.

File transfer will now only show current device and no other, this works on 10.4 but it may be similar to 10.5 (worth a try) once completed delete the trash.

Hope it helps :D
