Removing/Disabling iAds?

Hello,

This is my first post on this site, so please bear with me! I've heard there's a way to either remove or disable those annoying iAds when using apps. Unfortunately, the only way I've read about doing this is by having your iPhone jailbroken, which I won't do.

Is there any other way (other than purchasing the app outright) to avoid seeing those iAds?
