removing duplicates in iPhoto

anyone here know if it's possible, in iPhoto, to sort duplicate pics and video clips as a group for deletion? i've got tones of dupes, and i want to clean house. doing it one by one would take forever!

Are you saying that the duplicates show up in the iPhoto application? Or are you referring to the iPhoto library in your pictures folder in your library? If the latter, they are probably not duplicates (e.g., originals and modified and thumbnails) and must be left alone or iPhoto (app) will not function correctly. If you are seeing the duplicates in the app, then perhaps dbamac's advice will work for you
