Hey everyone, I searched the forums but could not find an answer.

I have an iPhone 3G running 3.0 and I want to remove the help.benm.at tethering profile.

If I just go into settings -> general -> profile -> remove will it affect anything else besides eliminating tethering? I just want to make sure that by doing this it won't mess anything up.

    Thanks!!! :)

I'm on o2 UK and removed it and everything seemed to work on afterwards.

Thing is though, it still gives me the option to enable tethering.

I have been trying over and over to get the AT&T 5.0 carrier file, through different methods. I had installed the help.benm.at generator for AT&T, as well as creating a custom through the generator. I have removed them several times, and had no problems. I would recommend doing a reset of the phone after you remove such profiles.

UPDATE: I guess I was not clear! I have had tethering working on both USB & Bluetooth, but it seems no matter what I do, the visual voicemail gets disabled whenever the voicemail is set to wap.cingular. I have changed it back to acds.voicemail, but then that disables the tethering feature.

i was able to remove the profile no problem. As of right now everything is working fine. I guess I'll post here if the visual voice mail stops working!

    Thanks again!
