Can someone explain to me how to remove an internet account?

I go to System Preferences > Internet Accounts and highlight the account to be deleted and click the minus ("-") key. I click the REMOVE FROM ALL button in the confirmation dialog box... And almost immediately, I get a system notification that the account was (re)added...

I have about 4 computers with these accounts installed, but they just keep coming back... is there a secret handshake or something that I am missing? I have about 5 accounts that I need to remove, but the same situation keeps repeating itself.

I'm having the same issue - did you ever find a solution?

Safe mode removal did not help, it just added them back in safe mode as well.

no. nothing worked... just made them inactive and don't worry about then... but it is annoying.
