Honestly, is it even worth it to go through all of the hassles to absolutely have an iphone4?

Camera/video are the biggest selling points of the iphone 4. The HD recording, face-time, etc.

It's like buying a Bentley and ripping out the leather interior and replacing with cheap cloth.

Exactly.

The answer has already been posted. As part of enterprise roll-out you can have your firm disable this function on your phone. It will remove the camera application from the phone and it will be disabled for any application that asks for the camera app. Read the PDF that was posted towards the beginning of these replies - it's there.

This is a really dumb question. Void the warranty......DUH! And of course Apple will not do it.

Sorry, but really?

Did not know about that, thanks! Isn't the micro supposed to have more features? And it's still compatible? Must be so.

I'm 99% sure that it would work. It works on the iPad but won't know for sure until I get my iPhone 4 on the 24th. I'm actually banking that it does since Im on a corporate account and they won't support iPhones since they use Blackberry's. Hoping to drop my BB sim into the iPhone after I cut it down to fit.

how is this a dumb question? I removed the superdrive from my MBP and replaced it with an optibay, my warranty is still valid for the screen and processor...plus in the event something goes wrong, I can put it all back together, since I was careful taking it apart.

How is this not a valid question? I just want to know if the same applies for the MBP, or is it that when you open the phone the warranty is voided, and how would they know?

I also asked if an authorized apple tech will do it, and from a response on page 1 it looks like they do, for $19.

So, yeah. Really.

And to everyone that is trying to persuade me to not do it. It's happening, I don't need a camera, I want an iphone, I don't want to buy another phone and and iphone and a touch, I want one phone without any cameras.

the ipad is a pretty good idea, I think that might be pushing it to bring into work. I just want something I can pull out at lunch and browse the web for 20 min, listen to as an ipod/stream pandora at my desk, or get the occasional text throughout the day.
