    Hi,

Have been trying out the office 11 beta trial. I love it and works great. My trial ends this month so have purchased a full retail copy for £40.
The Disc arrives today. I want to find out do I install over the top or should you remove Office 11 first? If you have to remove the beta version do i just drag the application to the trash.

    Many Thanks

    :)

I know that to remove the full retail version of Office for Mac 2011, which I have, you just drag it to the Trash because. I assume you can do the same for the beta, which I have not used.

Or you can just install over it. But, to fully remove the beta, use an App like AppZapper to sniff out related files. Or you can do a search in spotlight to find all the beta files.

AppZapper is ineffective. Read this thread: Best way to FULLY DELETE a program?

To manually remove an application, read this.

    Thanks GGJ

So you recommend Removing the Beta first then installing the Retail copy?
I'm only going to install Word and Excel only as that's all I use in office.

    Many Thanks

    Rav:)
