I had a nick in the case (top of the case) that I just could not ignore, it was very sharp to the point of being able to cut your finger.

I held my breath and tried some 800 grit sandpaper (the 3M wet sand stuff). Worked like a charm, there is no sign that I sanded the edge. The nick is still visible but the sharp edge is gone. You can also use this if you feel the wrist rest is too sharp.

I've used a nail file (gently) on an occasional sharp edge. Works great.
