removing songs

    i am new to this whole i pod thing and i was wondering how i can remove thst stuff i don't want on my i pod. when i first plugged it in...EVERYTHING even my aol greeting downloaded and i am not sure how to get any of that off...can anyone help...thanks :)

    Highlight the song(s) you wish to delete in your itunes library and hit delete on the keyboard. A message will come up asking you if you're sure you want to remove the song from your library choose, yes. Then a second message will ask if you want to move the item to the trash or still keep it in your iTunes music folder.

    For items not in your itunes music folder it won't delete them from your hard drive, only from your library, I believe. Just be careful you don't move items that you do want to the trash and remove them only from the library.

    Next time you sync your iPod the items will be removed from your iPod's hard drive. :)
