Removing subtitles from .avi

I have two avi files on my mac that have swedish subs. Also the full length movie is split in two avi's.
How can I remove the subs and join the two files?

The subs are most likely hard coded and can not be removed.
Alternatively, you could buy the movie instead of pirating it.

I went to the site and they have a subtitle software. I wonder if it removes the subs it put in?
