Removing the Caps Lock "Delay"?

At first I thought that my MacBook Pro was defective (it's my first Mac), but then through a Google search, I found out that it was a feature that Apple added into newer versions of OS X to prevent accidentally. I actually type faster by hitting caps lock every time that I want to write a capital letter rather than trying to press a letter and shift to get a capital letter.

Is there any way to remove the caps lock "delay"?

needs more shift. typists use the shift button so its obviously the best way to type. break your caps habit.
