For whatever reason my drobo froze up on me a few days ago, and now its mount point is /Volumes/Drobo 1 instead of /Volumes/Drobo. Now normally this wouldnt be a problem, but I have some software that is reading that (FTP users in fact - proftp no mac os x ftp). How do I change it back to /Volumes/Drobo to restore all the paths that the program needs?

Disconnect your Drobo from your Mac, and delete the both /Volumes/Drobo 1 and /Volumes/Drobo. Then reconnect. The system should create a new /Volumes/Drobo and mount it there.

Sweet...thanks....I will try that...I knew what the mount points where (linux-wise I have heard them) but wanted to confirm

Thanks

FYI, /Volumes is essentially /media and /mnt combined under a different name. Oh, and MAKE SURE you disconnect your Drobo BEFORE trashing the mount points, otherwise it deletes everything on the Drobo. 🙂

Ah Yes, I do know that one.

Thanks..just waiting on the production machine FTP to finish to try it...huuuury up!
