Rename my Home Folder ?

I have just bought an iMac G4 of a friend who doesn't
have the original discs, and the Home folder has his name on it,

How do I change the name ?

I don't know if you can without the OS disks. A lot of people know more than I do though. 🙂

Just create a new user account (with administrator privileges) for yourself and then get rid of his stuff.

I would create a new user under the System Preferences and transfer whatever you want out of his account into yours, then clobber his account. Alternately, there are hacks for changing the user name. Try googling "change username OS X"...or something like that...
