Also what does the HDD icon mean on the bottom of the Finder?
Thanks, I completely forgot about it since Tiger or Panther maybe.
It was a new feature introduced with Leopard.
Sure?
Wasn't there a way tho show the current path in Finder before Leopard
Yes, that may be it.
Thanks for clarifying that. It's over 18 months now since I stopped using Tiger, except at work, so what the hell.
Back to the topic.
Sorry Jongewehr for hijacking it.
But shouldn't that Path Bar point to Macintosh HD (or whatever volume a user is on) > Users > user ?
There was a 3rd party addon that displayed the equivalent of the Windows address bar at the top of Finder windows.
It's the Path Bar. Turn it on.. it is very useful.
You don't need an add on to show the path in the window title...
Can you not see the limitations of yours? Try using the Path Bar and you'll understand why. (e.g. drag n drop for one).
I don't really like the color scheme.
By the way OP, you blocked your user name from the sidebar, but left it in the title bar.
any risk in that?
Urgh, the left side looks like the horrible Windows explorer window in Vista/7.
