I wasn't sure where to post this question, but I'm probably not the only one that has this question.

I subscribed to a full year of Disney+ using my AppleID. Right now, I'm good up to Dec 13th, which is a few days after Disney implements their price increase. The price will go up from $80 to $110. As such, I was hoping there was a way to lock-in on the current pricing.

There's no option to renew early with Settings>AppleID>Subscriptions and if I try to login to Disney+ on the web, it says to update account info via iTunes.

I guess the drastic thing would be to cancel my subscription via iTunes and continue to use it up to Dec 13th, but at some point before the price increase, sign up with a new account/email to lock in the $80 price. But if someone has a way to do this via iTunes/iOS, that would be preferable.

Thanks

I wouldn't call it drastic. You're saving $30 for only a few days of overlap. Just cancel your sub and resubscribe directly with Disney on their website. Then login via the disney+ app after your apple subscription expires.

FWIW if you subscribe to Hulu no ads, it's cheaper to do the bundle even if you don't care about ESPN.

True, dramatic probably is an exaggeration.

My main thing would be that I'd probably lose the data indicating which shows/episodes that I've already watched. That's probably the biggest problem for me.

Probably no way to avoid that as it would be a new account. Just comes down to if that data is worth $30.
